Bannerlord Release Date, Review, and Rumors
What to Expect in Bannerlord
TaleWorlds has dropped many of the realm building mechanics that defined the Mount & Blade franchise, which gives Bannerlord a drastically different outlook for most RPG fans. Although the player can visit towns, the world is littered with optional hidden villages, named after famous warriors in history. The focus is on raiding and random battles, with the possibility to conquer opposing armies and claim lands.
It looks like a more streamlined game than previous Mount & Blade titles, and most signs point to the combat being incredibly fast paced and brutal. From the forums, it seems like the battles will be a lot faster and action packed, with little downtime between encounters.

Past Mount & Blade Games
TaleWorlds is best known as the developer of the popular medieval action-RPG series, Mount & Blade. Mount & Blade first launched in 2009 and has since amassed over half a million players in the fighting and in-depth trading community. Following the 2011 launch of the series’ second entry, the studio was acquired by Namco Bandai and published their projects under the Company of Heroes brand. Both games have enjoyed limited success, with the majority of players still found on Steam.
The Bannerlord Trailer
Bannerlord‘s core features involve intense, 16-player battles with orcs and other foes from the world of Aragon and their ambitions for a greater empire, both internally and externally. Following the unveiling of the first trailer, TaleWorlds had promised a 2016 release date.
Future of the Mount & Blade Series
It’s unclear whether the series will survive, but many fans are hoping that TaleWorlds will somehow stitch Bannerlord into the vast universe the rest of the franchise has created. It would be quite a feat to bring something as important as Bannerlord into the world and not leave some sort of mark.

Bannerlord is going to get a lot of attention when it releases this winter. Among the content releases, a chapter of DLC called “When Warriors Became Gods” is specifically set during the events of the game and will see you fight alongside a new faction. Some reports suggest this will make the total journey of Bannerlord longer than the whole of the original Mount & Blade.
Currently, no exact price point has been announced but players are looking at $60.00 USD for the season pass.
Namco Bandai and Turbine have revealed the Bannerlord release_date and platform for this winter.
